The Need to Know about VR Goggles

While VR goggles might sound totally foreign, you will understand what it’s all about once you know what the “VR” in “VR goggles” stand for. And they stand for virtual reality. While they were the stuff of science fiction back in the 1990s, it has finally arrived here, in the form of virtual reality goggles that you can buy from any electronics store.

There are many brands that you can choose from, and as can be expected, not all of them created the same and there were certain brands that were said to be better by editors of online magazines like If you want to know what these so-called better goggle brands are, they include HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Sony Playstation VR, Samsung Gear VR, Google Cardboard, Microsoft Hololens, Razer OSVR, FOVE VR, Zeiss VR One, Avegant Glyph, and Freefly VR. This product is no ordinary virtual reality goggle, it actually augments the environment so what you get is a truly rich virtual environment. But feel free to try the other brands. You will recognize some familiar names, including HTC, Google, and Samsung.
Now if you are like most people, you are probably wondering how it all works. Well, within the gadget there are several sensors that monitor your head movement so it can adjust the virtual environment for you. No matter what brand you choose, it has been tested so that you don’t get motion sickness even if you use it for a long time.

Currently, there are gaming titles that make use of virtual reality goggles to up the game. According to, the top games that will convince you to strap your VR goggle include Paranormal Activity, Edge of Nowhere, The Deep, Rigs, Keeping Talking and Nobody Explodes, Time Machine, Minecraft Hololens, Kitchen, Robinson: The Journey, and EVE: Valkyrie.

Now, we are not going to get into the details of each game nor tell you what to expect when you play those games on your VR goggle, mainly because have never played any of them. Suffice it to say, the fact that they are on the top ten list of a reputable magazine does tell you something about the quality of each game and how they are greatly enhanced by wearing goggles that let you access the game in a virtual reality environment.

Within the next few year years, you can expect for virtual reality games to take over smartphone games, especially among young people. But for now, the virtual environment and the special high-tech goggle that accompanies it are still in its early days of being mainstream. If you want a truly high-quality like that offered by Microsoft, wait for the prices to go down as the demand goes up. We might just see the $3,000 price tag nosedive to $500, or at least we hope it does.
